Our Baltimore facility is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and accessible. You will be responsible for conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to improve inventory accuracy and overall warehouse efficiency. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Monitor stock levels and identify items needing replenishment or disposition.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and control.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety regulations and the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Support the logistics team with inventory-related reporting.
- Must be able to assist with moderate lifting when necessary to access or move stock.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS and other inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
