We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This critical role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods, forming the first crucial step in our Logistics chain. Your responsibilities will include inspecting shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and documenting all received items. A strong emphasis on Safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks are essential. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and committed to maintaining accurate inventory records. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all Safety protocols are mandatory. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-established organization and grow within the Logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving all incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Unloading trucks and verifying the contents of deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspecting goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Documenting all received items in the company's inventory system.
- Tagging and routing received goods to the appropriate warehouse sections.
- Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhering to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stocktaking as required.
- Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Performing basic data entry and record-keeping tasks related to receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
