Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa? We are hiring immediately to fill a critical role in our state-of-the-art warehouse. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, moving materials between different warehouse sections, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of forklift operation best practices are essential. This role demands physical stamina, as it involves significant Lifting throughout the shift. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Experience with various types of forklifts is a plus. We emphasize a culture of Safety and efficiency in all our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and possess excellent hand-eye coordination. You will play a vital part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Inspect forklift equipment before each use.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed.
