Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic and accessible manner.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as directed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, contributing to overall warehouse safety.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is essential.
- Proven ability to handle heavy materials, including frequent lifting of 60+ lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the critical importance of PPE.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with warehouse equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Experience in logistics operations is highly desirable.
