Seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our fast-paced logistics facility in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact our customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our operations. You will utilize hand-held scanners and other equipment to locate and retrieve products, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Adherence to safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is critical for this position, as the warehouse environment requires constant awareness of potential hazards. This role involves significant standing, walking, and occasional Lifting of items up to 40 lbs. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and possesses a strong work ethic. Experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment setting is advantageous, but we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. You'll be an integral part of our logistics team, contributing to the timely dispatch of orders.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or other devices.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Support the overall logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent walking, standing, and occasional Lifting.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
