We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility! In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are paramount, as you will play a key part in the efficient flow of goods within our logistics operations. This position requires a certified and skilled operator who understands warehouse safety protocols and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload pallets and materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse to designated areas.
- Stack and store inventory accurately and safely.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all logistics procedures and guidelines.
- Handle lifting tasks when not operating equipment, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to strictly adhere to them.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Proficiency in the use of PPE.
