A global engineering and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer
to join its rapidly growing U.S. Energy & Infrastructure division. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in technically complex, multidisciplinary environments and wants to contribute to the design and modeling of next-generation energy and data infrastructure projects.

The Role

You will serve as a technical expert in power system analysis and modeling, supporting projects across renewable integration, transmission and distribution systems, and mission-critical infrastructure such as data centers and industrial facilities.

This position is fully remote within the United States and offers the opportunity to collaborate with international engineering and sustainability teams delivering cutting-edge energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead
    power system modeling and dynamic studies
    using
    PSSE
    and
    PSCAD
    , including load flow, short circuit, stability, and transient analysis.
  • Evaluate grid interconnection requirements and develop models for renewable and conventional generation assets.
  • Support design and planning of high-voltage substations, interconnections, and transmission infrastructure.
  • Interface with utilities, ISOs, and regulatory entities on technical studies and interconnection filings.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, civil, mechanical, sustainability) to ensure integrated and compliant designs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support internal knowledge development on power systems modeling tools and best practices.
  • Contribute to proposal development, project scoping, and technical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in power systems engineering, ideally within consulting, utility, or EPC environments.
  • Proven proficiency with
    PSSE
    and
    PSCAD
    (required).
  • Strong understanding of transmission planning, renewable integration, and dynamic system performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across global, distributed teams.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 (depending on experience)
