Job description
The Hotel Monroe is now open We are seeking a dynamic and passionate leader with experience in curated lifestyle hotels to serve as Front Office Manager for The Hotel Monroe, a Hilton Tapestry Portfolio hotel, in Downtown Monroe.
Situated along the river in a historic Opera house and Hardware store, the hotel and its restaurants have been thoughtfully designed to provide an authentic experience of Monroe. The property will provide 68 luxurious guest rooms and suites, Heirloom Restaurant, The STAR Bar rooftop restaurant, and banquet space to accommodate people throughout the second and third floor meeting rooms and Opera Ballroom.

Responsibilities and Duties
Day-to-day will include:
- Effectively execute and maintain all hotel front desk operations.
- Train and develop team in the brand and culture of the property. Ensure all team members are living the brand culture daily.
- Create a dynamic and learning environment for all team members. One that everyone has input and grows in their position.
- Set up PMS training program to ensure all associates are operating at the highest level of knowledge.
- Control costs at same time as protecting the assets of the hotel.
- Turn in all paperwork in a timely manner with precision and exactness.
- Responsible for daily, monthly, and annual property cash handling procedures, deposits, and security.
- Ensure any irregularities are recorded in appropriate locations and brought to the attention of the GM and/or Cornerstone Hospitality leadership.
- Elevate the guest experience; teach, train and brainstorm with staff.
- Understand sales efforts within the market to drive both Occupancy and ADR; motivate team to drive revenue.
- Understand the workings of the hotel. Deliver a consistently clean and well-maintained hotel.
- Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals. Collaborate with hotel team members to establish and implement services and programs that meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Interact with guests, solicit feedback and build relationships. Effectively respond to guests regarding service challenges.
- Demonstrate brand citizenship by maintaining compliance with all required standards and behaviors, including passing all Quality Assurance Audits and Local Inspections.
- Use technology platforms to drive guest experience scores.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with hotel's or owner's policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. This includes on-going hotel inspections and maintaining records to company and brand standards.
- Enhance the hotel's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Assist with overall operations to include payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, as well as daily operations in the absence of the General Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior hotel experience required. Experience with the Hilton brand and boutique/curated hotel experience preferred.
- A passion for high-touch service-oriented operations.
- Proven leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work various schedules based on business demands.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S., pass background screening and references checks.
