Senior IT Systems Administrator

Position Summary

• Internal technical owner of on-premises and cloud infrastructure
• Maintain, optimize, and secure hybrid IT/OT environment
• Work directly with Business Systems team and MSP partners
• Lead critical infrastructure projects. drive standardization, ensure resiliency
• Hands-on leadership, focused on technical challenges and emerging technologies

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Network Management

• Technical owner of on-premises servers, network, and cloud infrastructure
• Ensure the security of endpoints
• Coordinate with MSP for support delivery and accountability
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize hybrid IT/OT infrastructure for 24/7 reliability
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity procedures
• Maintain infrastructure documentation for support and maintenance

Project Leadership & Implementation

• Lead documentation and standardization for remote support
• Implement asset management integrated with network/security tools
• Ensure resiliency through capacity planning and redundancy
• Drive modernization projects aligned with growth and technology evolution

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain security best practices
• Collaborate on cybersecurity, risk, and vulnerability management
• Ensure segmentation and controls between IT and OT systems
• Monitor/respond to security alerts and implement preventive measures

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with business systems team ensure department goals are met
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Provide guidance and oversight to MSP technicians

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, especially AI-driven solutions
• Identify automation and efficiency opportunities
• Stay current with manufacturing IT/OT best practices
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks

Experience

• 8+ years in IT operations and support
• Hands-on cloud platform experience (Azure preferred)
• Proven track record in infrastructure projects

Technical Skills

• Core Infrastructure: Windows Server, AS/EntraID, PowerShell
• Business Apps: Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Voice)
• Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure
• Networking: Cisco Meraki switches, VLANs, routing, wireless
• Security: Fortinet firewall, hardening, vulnerability assessment, MDR
• Industrial Systems: FactoryTalk or similar ICS/SCADA, IT/OT segmentation
• Disaster Recovery: Backup, business continuity, DR testing
• Documentation: Infrastructure docs, SOPs, runbooks

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage our on-premises IT infrastructure and cloud platforms. This role serves as the technical bridge between strategic IT leadership and our managed service provider (MSP), ensuring operational excellence, infrastructure resilience, and successful project delivery across Philadelphia and Charlotte locations and globally.
