Road Service Mobile Technician

Position Summary:
As a Road Service Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and repair services on medium- and heavy-duty trucks at customer locations, roadside breakdowns, and job sites. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong mechanical skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to road service calls and perform diagnostics and repairs on-site.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on trucks and equipment.
• Use diagnostic software and tools to identify issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with the service department and customers regarding repair status and recommended services.
• Maintain an organized and fully stocked mobile service truck.
• Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and inspection forms.
• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with truck technologies and repair practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in diesel truck repair or similar field.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL a plus.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.
• Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
