HVAC Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Install or Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Install and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC systems to identify issues.
• Read and interpret schematics to ensure proper installation and repair of HVAC units.
• Conduct repairs on various HVAC components, including compressors, pumps, and valves.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with other technicians on complex installations or repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working with hazardous materials such as refrigerants.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems.
• Proficiency in plumbing and appliance repair related to HVAC installations.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Ability to use tools such as an ohmmeter for diagnostics and repairs.
• Experience in field service roles with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installations.
• Welding skills for metal fabrication or repairs may be beneficial.
• Previous experience as a service technician is preferred.
