Job Summary
The Data Analytics & Outcomes(SK1) Manager serves a critical internal need to transform data into strategic insight to drive program, funding, and operational decisions. This role leads the administration of our Salesforce-based membership system (MyClubHub), builds and maintains data pipelines and dashboards, supports evaluation work, and ensures data is accessible and actionable across the organization.
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations & Programming(SK2) , this position collaborates cross-functionally with program staff, resource development, IT, and communications teams. This position also serves as a liaison on reporting, upgrades to systems, and other special projects (DT3) to external partners, such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America and vendors.
Role & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
· Lead administration of MyClubHub (Salesforce MIS) including user support, system enhancements, and vendor liaison
· Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Salesforce, Power BI and Excel (DT4) (AF5) to support leadership decision-making
· Manage membership application workflows, data quality checks, and policy integration (including legal waivers)
· Extract, analyze, and report data for grants, funders, school district partners, and internal stakeholders
· Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to ensure families receive timely, clear system-generated messaging
Strategic & Cross-Functional Responsibilities
· Develop and implement a data strategy aligned with BGCMD's outcomes framework and program priorities
· Partner with Club sites and departments to translate data into actionable program improvements, outputs and outcomes
· Provide ad hoc reporting and data access for internal and external stakeholders in a timely and user-friendly manner
· Ensure data compliance, security protocols, and internal governance processes are followed
Data Leadership & Strategy Responsibilities
· Lead the development and maintenance of standardized data policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent and accurate data collection, entry, and reporting across the organization.
· Establish and enforce organization-wide data quality protocols and regular data audits to ensure the integrity of BGCMD's data ecosystem.
· Translate evaluation and analytics findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership, programs, and resource development teams.
· Facilitate regular performance and progress reviews using key performance indicators to inform strategic planning and impact reporting.
· Serve as the primary liaison to external evaluators and research partners to expand BGCMD's capacity for data-informed learning and innovation.
· Guide the creation and dissemination of performance management reports that track progress toward organizational goals and outcomes.
Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
· Develop and maintain organization-wide data governance standards, including protocols for data privacy, system access, and compliance with local and federal guidelines.
· Lead scheduled data audits and training refreshers to ensure data accuracy and staff fluency in data processes.
· Collaborate across departments to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or inefficiencies in real time.
· Proactively research and recommend emerging best practices and innovations in the nonprofit data and evaluation landscape.
Training & Support Responsibilities
· Design and lead training sessions for staff and users on Salesforce, Formstack, and related systems.
· Create and maintain user manuals, videos, and documentation to promote system fluency.
· Support ongoing evaluation practices and lead annual data deliverables such as the BGCA National Report.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· This position currently does not supervise staff but may expand to manage data support roles or contractors.
· Collaborate closely with the Billing Coordinator and Finance on data-enabled improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor's degree OR equivalent training and experience (e.g., bootcamp, certifications, applied data roles in nonprofits or education).
· Proficiency and practical experience in Salesforce, SQL, Power BI, or other data tools—regardless of degree.
· 3+ years of experience in data analysis, CRM administration, or database systems (nonprofit experience a plus).
· Demonstrated track record of leveraging data and quantitative analysis to inform and drive strategic direction and decision making in nonprofit, public sector, or social sector organizations
· Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.
· Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel.
· Strong communication skills including verbal and written presentation experience, as well as the ability to communicate the story data tells to stakeholders who might be less comfortable or experienced with quantitative analysis.
· Proven ability to plan and lead cross-functional projects, including proven success in project management.
· Demonstrated experience building or improving data infrastructure, including creation of SOPs and staff training tools.
· Strong critical thinking skills with ability to turn complex data into practical, high-impact solutions for decision-makers.
· Exceptional collaboration skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence others and promote a culture of data-informed learning.
Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
· Experience with SQL, SAS, SPSS, or other statistical software skills.
· Familiarity with education or youth-serving data ecosystems (e.g., 21st Century Grants, school district data).
· Experience training or coaching non-technical users.
· Experience in designing and implementing program evaluation studies .
· Experience in project management of data projects, including developing instruments and data quality protocols; technical assistance on data entry, data analysis and outcomes evaluation and analysis.
· Experience working in a multi-site, regional, or statewide manner.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Exceptional analytical, statistical, and reporting skills
· Ability to work in a team environment with other departments.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize and assist other staff with these efforts.
Conditions of Employment
· The position requires passing criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
· The position must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
· The position will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.
· Some job duties require the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion to support our local clubs.
· Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communication with staff, club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.
In-Office and Remote Work
This position works primarily at the Program Support Center but may occasionally work from other BGCMD facilities as necessary. All remote work and other flexible work arrangements must be approved prior to implementation.
