POSITION: Inside Sales Representative/Warehouse Associate
About the role:
The Inside Sales Representative / Warehouse Associate plays a dual role in driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You'll manage inside sales activities -- building strong relationships with customers, processing orders, and supporting the outside sales team while also assisting with day-to-day warehouse operations such as shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys both customer interaction and operational excellence.
What you'll do:
Sales & Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service and communication
- Generate quotes, process orders, and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Provide information about products, pricing, and availability to new and existing customers
- Place outbound calls to identify opportunities, decision-makers, and service needs
- Collaborate closely with the outside sales team to proactively increase market share
- Work with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management based on customer and branch needs
Warehouse & Operations Responsibilities:
- Perform shipping, receiving, and material handling duties
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain organized stock areas
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification or willingness to obtain required)
- Perform cut-to-size and fabrication as needed
- Ensure adherence to housekeeping standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with Sales and Management on material status and order fulfillment
- Support warehouse process improvements and uphold company operational procedures
What you'll need:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Excellent business writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required)
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a team-selling environment
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- High level of honesty, integrity, and customer focus
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- High School Diploma or GED required
- (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field; experience in industrial or plastics distribution
