Packaging Machine Operator

Manufacturing company is seeking qualified people to assist in all aspects of our Packaging department. Must be able to lift 20-25lb and stand during the shift hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Handling:
• Move and handle materials, including bulk product, bottles, caps, and desiccants, in preparation for packaging operations.
• Ensure materials are available and organized for efficient production flow.
• Loading and Equipment Operation:
• Load equipment with required materials (e.g., bulk product, bottles, caps) in accordance with production schedules and guidelines.
• Able to operate at least up to three (3) packaging machinery, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
• Packaging and Case Making:
• Create product cases and ensure that the packaging meets specifications.
• Accurately package products, ensuring quality and quantity standards are met.
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Follow and maintain good documentation practices (GDP) in all tasks.
• Ensure compliance with FDA cGMP requirements during all aspects of the job.
• Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Regularly clean and maintain packaging equipment and lines to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment at the start and end of each shift.
• Housekeeping and Work Area Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety and housekeeping protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Gowning and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
• Adhere to proper gowning and PPE protocols to maintain product integrity and safety.
• Support Operations:
• Perform other duties as assigned to support daily packaging operations and team goals.
• Assist in troubleshooting packaging line issues and support other team members when needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus.
• Good communication skills to work with team members and supervisors.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20-25 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
• Capable of working in a clean room or controlled environment with personal protective equipment.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where cleanliness, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial.
• Exposure to machinery, operational noise, and possible hazards associated with manufacturing processes (PPE provided).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
