Restaurant Shift Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and be dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience. This role is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the shift run smoothly and efficiently, and that the restaurant is consistently providing high-quality food and service.

Duties

• Manage and supervise a team of food service staff, ensuring that all employees are performing their duties to the highest standard.
• Oversee the entire restaurant operation, including kitchen and dining areas.
• Conduct interviews and hire new staff members as needed.
• Implement food safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that all food and supplies are ordered and stocked correctly.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
• Ensure that all restaurant equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly.
• Work closely with the hospitality management team to ensure that all restaurant operations are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Manage cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Skills

• Strong food service and hospitality management experience, preferably in a casual dining environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high-quality results.
• Excellent interviewing and hiring skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Familiarity with coffee service.
• Effective team management and supervision skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in hospitality management principles and practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $19.00 per hour
