McCain Food's facility in Burley, Idaho is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 700 employees. This site specializes in the production of frozen potato products. Fun Fact: 1 in 4 French fries are produced by McCain Foods.

Responsible for insuring that proper quality frozen vegetable ingredients are available for the O'Brien/SSHB line. Also responsible for insuring that correct sanitation procedures are adhered to by all personnel in the area.

• Measures and mixes various ingredients in prescribed proportions.
• Monitors, records and maintains proper ingredient to product ratio.
• Operates controls of ingredient mixer and ingredient dispersement.
• Adheres to sanitation requirements when handling product.
• Request supplies on a timely basis
• Cleans and sanitizes line and area per sanitation requirements.
• Accurately completes records and reports as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance of machinery.
• Promotes and adheres to company safety regulations.
• Communicates problems or changes in production or quality, to supervisor, oncoming operator and/or other appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in a potato processing facility is a plus.

• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must have ability to effectively present information before groups of customers or employees.
• Must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Frequently: Stand; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Occasionally: Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Compensation Package : - Starting at 22.17 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
