Tax Manager

What you will do:

• Supervise a motivated team of professionals and ensure that they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
• Prepare and review Federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns and related extensions and estimates
• Answer ad-hoc tax-related inquiries and handle federal, state and local tax notices
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of work while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality
• Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal and state tax topics
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations; performance in-depth tax search, deliver timely and high-quality services that exceed client expectations

What you need to bring:

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, or Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation
• Public accounting experience required
• 5+ years of experience in federal and state income tax prep
• Experience managing a team
• CCH Axcess tax experience preferred
• Excellent research, writing and communication skills
• Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrates responsibility, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively as a team player

Qualifications:

• CPA preferred
• Strong corporate tax compliance and tax provision experience
• ProSystem fx Engagement experience is a plus
