The Opportunity (Without the Corporate Jargon)

Look, we're not going to tell you we're a "fast-paced, dynamic environment seeking rockstars who thrive under pressure." You've read that nonsense a hundred times, right?

Here's the truth: We're a
Microsoft Dynamics 365 consulting firm
based in Sugar Land that actually enjoys what we do. We help companies stop fighting with their software and start using it to make money. And we need someone who can find more of these companies, build relationships without being pushy, and generally be awesome at opening doors.

Translation:
We need a Business Development Manager who knows how to have a conversation and close a deal, and who doesn't need us breathing down their neck every five minutes.

What We Do (The Cool Stuff)

Managed ERP Services specializes in Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations—both the CRM side (Customer Engagement, Field Service, Sales) and the ERP side (Finance & Operations, Business Central, Supply Chain).

We work with:

  • Energy companies are trying to manage field operations without losing their minds
  • Healthcare providers drowning in paperwork
  • Insurance agencies juggling 47 different systems
  • Oil & Gas companies who need better asset tracking
  • Real Estate firms tired of spreadsheet chaos
  • Professional services companies that want actually to see their data
  • Finance companies seeking compliance without the headaches

We've helped clients achieve 40% efficiency improvements, save millions in costs, and generally make their workday less painful. Your job? Find more people who need our help.

What You'll Actually Do

The Glamorous Parts:

  • Build a pipeline of qualified leads in Energy, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Insurance, Real Estate, Finance, and Professional Services (basically, you'll know every CIO in Houston)
  • Attend industry events, network like a boss, and represent us without sounding like a used car salesman
  • Develop strategic partnerships with companies that complement what we do
  • Close deals that make us high-five each other
  • Work with our Solution Architects (smart folks who know their stuff) to create proposals that clients actually want to sign

The Less Glamorous (But Important) Parts:

  • CRM hygiene (yes, we use Dynamics 365—we practice what we preach)
  • Sales forecasting (we promise not to ask "when will this close?" every single day)
  • Research target companies and decision-makers
  • Follow up with prospects without annoying them (it's an art)
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure we don't overpromise

The "Why This Job Doesn't Suck" Parts:

  • You control your schedule (we trust you to manage your time)
  • Work from home when it makes sense (yes, even in pajamas)
  • No micromanagement—we hire adults who act like adults
  • A commission structure that actually rewards your success
  • Marketing support (you won't be alone figuring out how to generate leads)

Who We're Looking For

Must-Haves (Non-Negotiables):

  • 10+ years of B2B business development experience
(we need someone who's been around the block)
  • Industry experience
in at least 3 of these sectors: Energy Distribution, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Insurance, Real Estate, Professional Services, or Finance
  • Track record of closing deals
over $100K+ (show us the numbers)
  • Existing network
in Houston/Texas business community (we want someone who already knows people)
  • Hunter mentality
(we need someone who creates opportunities, not just responds to RFPs)

Personality Must-Haves:

  • Self-motivated
  • We're not going to babysit you
  • Relationship-builder
  • You genuinely like people (and they like you back)
  • Consultative approach
  • You solve problems, not just push products
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • We're growing, so things change
  • Low drama
  • Life's too short for office politics
  • Integrity
  • We'd rather lose a deal than lie to a client

Our Culture (What Makes Us Different)

We believe in:

  • Work-life balance
(radical, we know) - We don't email you at 11 PM expecting responses
  • Transparency
  • We share financial goals, pipeline updates, and don't play games
  • Continuous learning
  • Microsoft certifications? We'll pay for them.
  • Flexibility
  • Doctor's appointment? Kid's soccer game? Just handle your work and we're good.
  • Celebrating wins
  • Closed a big deal? We're buying lunch (or drinks, your choice)
  • Supporting each other
  • Our delivery team helps you sell, you help them understand client needs

We don't believe in:

  • Mandatory "fun" (trust us, forced team-building activities are nobody's idea of fun)
  • Dress codes (wear what makes sense for your meeting)
  • Clock-watching (results matter, not whether you're online at 8:59 AM)
  • Pointless meetings (if it could be an email, it should be)
  • "That's not my job" attitudes (we all pitch in)

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary:
(depending on experience and network strength)

Commission:
Uncapped—seriously. We've structured it so top performers can make $100K+ annually

  • 5-8% of closed deal value (first year revenue)
  • 2-3% recurring revenue share (years 2-3)
  • Quarterly bonuses for exceeding targets

Benefits:

  • Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) - we cover 60%
  • Flexible PTO (we're adults—take time off when you need it)
  • Professional development budget ($2,500/year for conferences, training, certifications)
  • Home office stipend (good chair, monitor, whatever you need)
  • Company laptop and phone
  • Mileage reimbursement for client meetings
  • Conference/event tickets (especially if you're networking)

Perks:

  • Remote/hybrid work flexibility
  • Casual dress code
  • Monthly team lunches (optional, but the food's good)
  • No "surprise" 5 PM Friday emergencies
  • Direct access to leadership (our CEO actually answers his phone)

Location & Travel

Primary Location:
Sugar Land, Texas (Greater Houston area)

We have a nice office you can use when you want to. Or don't. Your call.

  • 30-40% (mostly local Houston area for client meetings, some regional conferences)

  • Demonstrated success in at least 3 of our target industries
  • Valid driver's license (you'll be meeting clients face-to-face)

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  1. Phone Screen
