Prentice Tuck Driver/Loader

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Prentice Tuck Driver/Loader to join our warehouse operations team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing materials, and supporting efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy lifting safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse distribution and equipment operation within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
• Operate cranes and order pickers to facilitate efficient material handling
• Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems for accurate order picking and inventory control
• Assist with shipping & receiving activities, ensuring timely processing of goods
• Follow OSHA safety standards and mechanical guidelines during all operations
• Support warehouse supervision in maintaining organized storage areas
• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse distribution processes by supporting various logistical tasks

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and shipping & receiving
• Proficiency with heavy equipment operation including forklift, crane, clamp truck, and pallet jack
• Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Ability to operate RF scanners and other warehouse technology tools
• Experience with materials handling, construction-related equipment, or heavy lifting tasks
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for warehouse operations
• Previous warehouse supervisor or management experience is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments requiring heavy lifting and precise order picking
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues when necessary

This role is vital for maintaining smooth warehouse operations through safe handling of materials and efficient logistics support. Candidates should be prepared to operate various types of heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
