THE POSITION
The One 23 Group is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Oracle software upgrades and patch management, monitoring database performance, and creating documentation for database design, development, and maintenance activities. They will have expertise in High Availability, replication technologies, backup and recovery support, installation of Oracle software configuration, partitioning of tables and indexes, partition maintenance, archiving, capacity, and planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases in the DeCA data center
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Oracle databases within DeCA data center
• Manage backup solutions to prevent data loss
• Responsible for overseeing all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for database systems
• Ensure Information Assurance and doctrinal compliance of all database systems

Additional Information

• On-site role in Fort Gregg-Adams, VA.
• Computing Environment Certification within Oracle Certified Professional
• Training (required): Must complete an ITIL training course (ITIL v4 recommended and will be provided)

Qualifications

• Minimum Active Secret Security Clearance; AND,
• Active DoD 8140/8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) CompTIA Security+CE or equivalent; AND,
• 5+ years of Oracle Database Administration; AND,
• Proficient with ticketing systems (e.g., BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Ivanti); AND,
• Oracle and Red Hat Linux management; AND,
• Microsoft Windows and office Suite experience.

PREFERRED:

• Must possess or be willing to obtain within six months of hire, an active certification in the relevant computing environment. (Oracle Certified Professional)
• Must complete an ITIL training course (ITIL v4 - recommended and will be provided)
