The Role:
We are looking for a proactive Business Development Associate to join our team at IDR in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver expert insights and solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with clients, contribute to the company's growth, and gain exposure to the Expert Network industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research
Conduct research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
Collaboration with Sales Team
Work with sales team on new targets to focus on (which may be around a conference, specifically vertical or client specifically)
Weekly Project Execution
Tackle weekly projects as assigned (follow-up with leads from a conference to schedule meetings, data entry etc.)
Client Acquisition Strategy Development
Develop and implement strategies to target and acquire new clients.
Outreach & Lead Generation
Conduct outreach to prospective organizations via email, phone, and creative social media campaigns.
Client Onboarding
Assist in onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of services.
Client Meetings and Acquisition Support
Schedule and participate in client meetings, engaging in the full client acquisition process.
Client Engagement
Continuously engage with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for additional services.
Client Retention
Strengthen and grow existing client relationships to ensure long-term success.
Qualification and Skills
:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition.
Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
Professional demeanor, able to effectively work in a shared office environment.
Other necessary skills:
Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, mail merge, and scheduling tools.
Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed targets.
Ambitious with a focus on continuous improvement and professional growth.
Ability to quickly learn and clearly articulate IDR's services and capabilities.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Open to collaboration, adaptable, and proactive in finding solutions.
