JOB DESCRIPTION: The Project Manager is responsible for owning and managing project efficiency through effective scheduling, layout design nesting, communication, and skillful time management. The Project Manager will oversee the efficient and accurate fulfillment of all projects. This position will work closely with the sales team, design team, and production manager to ensure the highest quality of service is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for proofing file layout, scheduling jobs, coordinating 3rd party projects, managing deadlines, and spot-checking orders to ensure they are produced correctly. This is a fast-paced, high-performance position requiring excellent time management and communication skills. To be successful in this role you will need the ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines. You will also need great attention to detail, a ferocious work ethic, an understanding of lean manufacturing principles, and a relentless focus on delivering the highest quality work.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedules and coordinates all projects through our laser and assembly production schedule. Responsible for delivering all projects on time.
  • Optimize laser run time through effective planning and time management.
  • Coordinates team member efforts to keep 10 production lasers operating at peak efficiency.
  • Coordinates production team efforts to ensure projects are progressing effectively.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely completion of production milestones. A strong understanding of time management and lean manufacturing principles is imperative.
  • Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resources, and maintaining budgets.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to project team members based on their strengths and capabilities.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensure projects are completed within the defined financial scope.
  • Monitor project resources, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and goals.
  • Identify potential risks and issues within projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address challenges, adjusting plans and priorities to meet objectives.
  • Works closely with sales, design, and purchasing teams to ensure all materials and components are ordered to arrive in time for production.
  • Facilitates 3rd party vendor services.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely completion of production milestones. A strong understanding of time management is imperative.
  • Analyze production costs and implement strategies to minimize expenses while maintaining quality standards and COGS percentage goals.
  • Creates and implements new processes to continuously improve workflows and quality project execution.
  • Effectively document all errors and actively reduce waste, quality issues and laser idle times through process improvements and training.
  • Responsible for managing assembly and laser scheduling ensuring all team efforts are focused on project timelines.
  • Endorses and follows manufacturing principles such as one-piece-flow and continuous improvement daily.
  • Implements and enforces all processes. Including our 5s system. Cleanliness and workflows.
  • Actively endorses and coaches core company values.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week
