Job Summary
Ferny Fertility is a rapidly growing IVF practice with multiple locations across Manhattan. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to oversee all day-to-day clinical functions of our centers. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient patient flow, maintaining compliance with healthcare standards, supporting our medical assistants and nursing staff, and implementing the CEO's strategic clinical vision.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in healthcare operations, deep familiarity with clinical workflows, and experience with regulatory compliance (JCAHO or similar standards). This is a hands-on leadership position within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations across all locations, including patient flow, clinical workflows, and staff coordination
- Lead, supervise, and support medical assistants and nursing staff, fostering a collaborative, professional team environment
- Manage clinical schedules, staffing assignments, and resource allocation to ensure smooth daily functioning
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, safety protocols, Quad A and JCAHO-like accreditation standards
- Maintain responsibility for daily compliance tasks (logs, forms, safety checklists, documentation)
- Oversee long-term compliance and inspection readiness, including monthly checks, regulatory updates, and QA documentation
- Develop and implement clinic policies, procedures, and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Coordinate closely with medical providers to optimize service delivery and clinical operations
- Monitor quality metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Oversee medical supply management, including ordering, inventory tracking, vendor relations, and cost management
- Assist with budgeting and procurement related to clinical operations
- Lead onboarding, training, and continuing education for clinical staff
- Execute strategic and operational initiatives set forth by the CEO
- Address urgent clinical or operational issues as they arise — including occasional after-hours or weekend needs
Qualifications
- Master's degree required — MBA, MHA, MPH, MSN, or other healthcare/clinical master's accepted
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management or clinical operations in a hospital or medical practice (required)
- Proven experience leading clinical teams (nursing, MA, or similar)
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows; fertility/women's health experience is a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., JCAHO, DOH, OSHA)
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, physicians, and patients
- Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical management software preferred
- Schedule flexibility
Pay: $120, $170,000.00 per year
