Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman/Journeywoman Sign Serviceman / Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, servicing, and maintaining various types of signage at client locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's license and experience with electrical testing tools are essential. Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial signage according to project specifications
• Use hand tools and electrical testing equipment, including ohmmeters, to troubleshoot electrical components
• Ensure all signage is securely mounted and compliant with safety standards
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on signage systems
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and technical issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during installations and servicing
• Troubleshoot electrical systems on signs, including lighting, wiring, and control components
• Provide estimates or service quotes, replenish vehicle parts/inventory, and maintain work order documentation
• Perform structural repairs: metal cutting, welding, shaping, sanding, polishing, glueing, and painting
• Conduct vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance
• Train apprentices and new technicians
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed

Skills

• Proven experience as a Sign Serviceman or Installer, with a strong electrical background
• Proficiency in using electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting
• Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and installation instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift heavy signage components safely
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in various outdoor environments
• Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Experience:

• Electrical: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CDL B (Preferred)
• Journeyman Electrician (Required)
