Dump Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials efficiently across various job sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to route schedules, and proper handling of freight. The Dump Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely delivery and load management while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently at designated locations
• Transport materials across routes while adhering to scheduled delivery times
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate logs of hours driven, loads delivered, and vehicle maintenance records
• Assist with securing loads using appropriate equipment such as skid steers when necessary
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during route driving
• Communicate effectively with management regarding route changes or delays
• Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles
• Experience driving manual transmission trucks
• Proven experience with aggregate material delivery and load & unload operations
• Familiarity with different truck types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks
• Ability to operate specialized equipment such as skid steer is a plus
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial trucking and freight handling
• Excellent driving record with a clean background check required
• Physical ability to load/unload freight if needed and perform routine vehicle inspections
• Prior experience in truck driving within construction, logistics, or freight industries is desirable
