Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced tools and technology to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems.
  • Execute vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently and safely.
  • Service advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and perform wheel alignments to factory specifications.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards, particularly for GM vehicles when applicable.
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and estimates.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

  • Proven dealership experience or service technician experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, mechanical components, and diagnostics tools.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and auto estimating.
  • Familiarity with automotive service procedures for various systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
  • Experience working with schematics, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, and power tools is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience with welding or advanced mechanical repairs is a plus.
  • Customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $ $32.82 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
