Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Manage various types of trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles for material transport and site needs.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal functioning.
• Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, loading/unloading materials, and other construction-related tasks.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment operation and maintenance activities.

Skills

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers (dozer), loaders (front loader truck), backhoes, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery.
• Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery.
• Experience with commercial driving including operation of dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles.
• Familiarity with concrete mixers and other specialized construction equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
• Ability to read technical manuals and operate machinery according to manufacturer specifications (e.g., Caterpillar equipment).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Valid driver's license with relevant endorsements preferred.
