Boutique Assistant Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Boutique Assistant Manager to lead our retail team and ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Duties

• Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service while meeting sales targets.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
• Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and customer engagement.
• Participate in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and assisting with onboarding processes to build a strong team.
• Supervise shift management ensuring proper staffing levels during peak hours while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
• Maintain organized store layout through merchandising and stocking efforts aligned with brand standards.
• Conduct regular store audits for inventory accuracy, pricing integrity, and visual presentation standards.
• Utilize management skills to oversee sales management initiatives such as retail math calculations, sales tracking, and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including cash handling procedures and store security measures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within a boutique or similar retail environment.
• Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases.
• Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques, purchasing processes, pricing strategies, and stock control methods.
• Ability to handle cash handling accurately along with bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities.
• Skilled in employee orientation, training & development as well as interviewing prospective team members.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with marketing initiatives within retail environments to boost sales and brand visibility.
• Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are advantageous for serving diverse clientele effectively.
