Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Position Summary:

Seeking a compassionate Psychiatric provider to join our growing, locally owned outpatient practice located in Dickson, Tennessee. This is a provider owned practice and it's our goal to create an environment where you can take pride in your job, feel that you are truly helping the community, and have a work life balance that leads to a long term positive relationship with the practice and your patients. Patient ages 6+

Essential Functions:

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose and code within DSM-V / ICD-10 guidelines, and complete clinical documentation during encounters and administrative blocks.
• 1 hour new patient appointments & 30 minute follow up appointments via a combination of in office and telemedicine. You must be interested in connecting with patients & providing brief solution focused psychotherapy. Additional formal training can be completed, however this must be an area of natural interest.
• Implement individualized treatment plans for patients, taking into consideration their mental health needs and their medical comorbidities. Effective communication is essential. Need to have the ability to be empathetic, while also adhering to evidence based medicine & practice policies.
• Have a flexible, teamwork mindset. We have wonderful administrative staff that work closely with the providers to keep everything running smoothly. You must be willing to collaborate with the other providers, the collaborative physician, and staff members.

Required Degrees and Work Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited PMHNP or PA-C program
• Active Tennessee professional license, in good standing
• Active or eligible for DEA license
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in Psychiatry
