Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Operations Manager that will be responsible for overseeing the performance of delivery associates (DA), fleet management, continuous hiring, safety compliance, Leading the Dispatchers, partner with the Leadership of Amazon warehouse and overall operational efficiency to ensure timely and accurate package deliveries. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, great communication skills and the ability to manage a high-paced work environment, and a focus on Driver's success and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in logistics, transportation, delivery and warehouse operations.
- Understanding of FMCSA, DOT and transportation.
- Experience in staffing/hiring Helpers, Box Truck and Cargo Van Delivery Drivers.
- Experience in maintaining 20+ fleet.
- Experience in maintaining DOT, MC and keeping track of vehicle registrations
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience overseeing a workforce of 65+ employees.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and implement performance improvement strategies.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, Route Optimization, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily load out, delivery operations, return to station activities, ensuring all routes are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor real-time delivery progress, troubleshoot delays, and optimize routes as needed.
- Manage delivery station relationships and coordinate with backend office members of staff to optimize performance.
- Drive continuous hiring to ensure routes capacity are met
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Support recruitment, training, and delivery associates (DAs) onboarding.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and high morale.
Fleet & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all delivery vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Monitor fleet performance, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and manage fuel usage.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and conduct regular safety training for drivers.
Customer Experience & Quality Control:
- Maintain high customer service standards by ensuring timely and accurate package deliveries.
- Handle escalations related to delivery issues and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rate, driver success rate, and compliance metrics to drive operational excellence.
Cost Management:
- Track operational costs, optimize expenditures, and manage resources to maintain profitability.
- Control labor costs by effectively managing schedules and overtime.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.
Pay Rate:
- Specified annual salary includes gross base + bonus

Experience:
- logistics operations, staffing, dispatch, and fleet management: minimum of 6 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
