Standard Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.  

Position Summary: 

The Assistant Estimator will be responsible for supporting the Estimators and Senior Estimators in their daily duties to ensure a quality takeoff of new projects occurs in a timely manner.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Read and interpret plans. 
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and trade bid lists. 
  • Assist Estimators in preparing bid packages for contractors & vendors.
  • Assist in the preparation of Job Folder setup.
  • Learn and use Accubid and other estimating software. 
  • Understand costing in terms of square foot, labor, and material. 
  • Work and collaborate with team members throughout the country for specific project needs. 
  • Provide support to Estimators and Sr. Estimators to further develop skills.
  • Acquire additional training as needed to improve communication and leadership skills.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Required: High school diploma or GED. 
  • Required: Ability to work under minimal supervision at times.
  • Preferred: 1+ years estimating experience. 
  • Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Preferred: Experience with Accubid software.
  • Preferred: Experience in computerized/digital takeoff.

Physical Demands:  

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
