Truwell is expanding our team of DSPs to support adults with disabilities and mental health needs. We are building a staff pool for upcoming client placements, meaning we pre-interview and pre-approve strong candidates now so you can start quickly once matched with a client.

Schedule

Flexible — hours depend on client assignments.
We match staff based on:

• Your availability
• Your location
• Client needs and preferences

Shifts may include:

• Daytime
• Evenings
• Weekdays or weekends
• Awake overnights

Full-time, part-time, and flexible options available.

What You'll Do

• Support clients with daily living skills, homemaking, community access, and organization
• Provide positive, person-centered support
• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Follow the Support Plan and training materials
• Document services electronically
• Communicate concerns to supervisors promptly

Day/Evening Shifts:

• Assist with meal prep, light housekeeping, personal care, and medication reminders
• Help clients build skills (money management, communication, routines)
• Support community outings and appointments

Overnight Shifts:

• Monitor safety and well-being throughout the night
• Respond to needs or emergencies
• Maintain a calm environment
• Complete documentation or light tasks during downtime

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 18+ years old
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Able to pass MN DHS background study (completed once assigned)
• Smartphone with data for documentation
• Able to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and consistent attendance
• Comfortable supporting individuals with disabilities and/or mental health needs
• DSP/PCA/group home/mental health experience preferred but not required
• Willing to complete 245D training once matched
• Experience with de-escalation or trauma-informed care is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
