The Emergency Pet Hospital of Glendora is a small animal emergency and urgent care hospital providing immediate care for sick and injured pets. Our caseload includes trauma, respiratory distress, toxin ingestions, GI emergencies, endocrine crises, and other urgent and critical conditions. We operate M-F 9a-6pm and 24 hour on the weekend and some Major Holidays.

In every case, we offer not just medical support, but a compassionate hand and a listening ear to both our patients and the pet parents who trust us in some of their hardest moments.

We believe our patients get the best care when our team feels safe and supported. We maintain a respectful, encouraging environment and look for team members who bring a positive, solutions-focused attitude to work every day.

We are looking for an experienced emergency/urgent care veterinary technician who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about stabilizing and supporting critical patients while showing genuine empathy to their families.

  • Obtain accurate and quick patient histories from clients, even in stressful or emotional situations
  • Approach every interaction with empathy, patience, and clear communication

  • Monitor and care for hospitalized and ICU patients (shock, respiratory, neurologic, post-op, etc.)
  • Set up and monitor fluid therapy, CRIs, and oxygen therapy (including ICU/oxygen cage use, if applicable)
  • Assist with emergency procedures such as CPR/CPCR, wound care, bandaging, and basic stabilization

  • Set up and operate anesthetic monitoring equipment (ECG, SpO2, blood pressure, ETCO2, temperature) and document anesthetic parameters
  • Recognize early signs of anesthetic complications or potential decompensation, promptly communicate concerns to the veterinarian, and assist with stabilization
  • Anticipate the needs of the veterinarian during procedures

Client Communication & Teamwork

  • Provide clear, compassionate patient updates and discharge instructions
  • Offer emotional support and a reassuring, calm presence for worried pet parents
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and CSRs to keep ER flow efficient and organized

Hospital Support

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and ICU area
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and animal handling protocols
  • Assist with proper use and basic maintenance checks of medical equipment
