The Role — Software Engineer, Coherence Infrastructure

You will design and build the core systems that power
the Coherence Signal Layer, Interpretation Layer, and Agent Layer
— the foundation of our continuous-alignment engine.

This is not a traditional ML infra role.

You'll work on:

• low-latency signal pipelines
• real-time coherence scoring
• multi-agent orchestration
• biometric–linguistic fusion
• edge-to-cloud alignment infrastructure

You'll help us turn
emotional recursion, signal drift, and intent integrity
into real-time metrics and system-level guarantees.

You will work closely with founding engineers and product leadership to bring the Coherence Protocol to life across cloud, robotics, and enterprise deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build distributed backend systems that support
  real-time signal ingestion
  , interpretation, and multi-agent routing
• Design the
  Coherence Signal Engine
  (continuous scoring, drift detection, state continuity)
• Develop and maintain core infrastructure for the
  Interpretation Layer
  , connecting linguistic, biometric, and behavioral signals
• Implement agent orchestration and the
  Coherence Agent Router
  (Axis, NEO, THEIA, M, etc.)
• Optimize performance across compute, networking, and storage to achieve
  latency budgets required for alignment-critical applications
• Build safeguards, monitoring, and robustness systems for
  meaning continuity and behavioral integrity
• Integrate with cloud AI factories, robotics systems, and enterprise platforms
• Participate in code reviews, technical decisions, and architectural design

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in backend/infrastructure engineering
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Rust, or similar
• Experience with distributed systems, observability, or ML pipelines
• Understanding of ML fundamentals (tokenization, context windows, model lifecycle)
• Curiosity about multi-agent systems, alignment, or AI safety

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems/software engineering
• Experience with real-time systems, LLM observability, or MLOps infra
• Knowledge of inference engines (vLLM, SGLang, TRT-LLM)
• Experience with streaming pipelines (Kafka, Pulsar, Ray)
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, reinforcement learning, or alignment research
• Contributions to infrastructure, safety, or ML observability projects
• Background in robotics, human behavior modeling, or signal fusion a plus
