Senior Solutions Architect – MES/Industrial Platforms

Position Type:

Full-Time

Base Pay Range:

Target range $125,000 – $140,000

Commensurate with job level and experience

Incentive Pay:

up to 40% of base

What you will be doing:
Client Engagement & Pre-Sales Leadership

  • Act as the solutions lead in sales engagements, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Translate business and operational challenges into platform-based architectures and solutions.
  • Lead client workshops, business process mapping, and solution scoping sessions.
  • Present technical architectures and business value to stakeholders from plant staff to executive leadership.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and client technical inquiries with structured, compelling solutions.

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Design scalable MES, TMS, QMS, IoT, and operational intelligence solutions using the company's no-code platform.
  • Architect integrations between the platform and ERP systems, PLCs, SCADA, historians, and other production systems.
  • Ensure designs support:

  • High availability and performance

  • Cybersecurity and compliance
  • Integration with legacy and modern systems

  • Multi-site scalability and enterprise architecture standards

  • Mentor junior architects and delivery team members on platform best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the technical bridge between:

  • Sales teams

  • Delivery teams
  • Platform engineering
  • External partners

  • Partner with Product Management to communicate market needs and client feedback.

  • Support delivery teams through solution handoff and design validation.

Platform Advocacy & Thought Leadership

  • Promote platform adoption by showcasing innovation, performance, and operational ROI.
  • Develop technical assets such as:

  • Reference architectures

  • Use cases
  • Deployment patterns

  • Represent the company in technical webinars, client meetings, and industry events.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, plur8+ years of experience in industrial software, MES, manufacturing operations automation systems or manufacturing IT/OT architecture or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing:

  • MES, WMS, MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management software), or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) integrations

  • Industrial IoT or machine connectivity
  • Multi-system integration architectures

  • Proven client-facing experience in:

  • Solutions architecture

  • Consulting
  • Technical pre-sales or delivery leadership

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Manufacturing operations

  • Batch / discrete / continuous manufacturing models
  • Industry standards (ISA-95, ISA-88)

  • Experience with:

  • PLCs and OPC UA

  • APIs and system integration
  • Data modeling and workflow automation
  • Cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments

  • Familiarity with no-code / low-code platforms is strongly preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, for executive-level to client operations personnel
  • Strong analytical problem-solving mindset.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to lead without authority.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Professional demeanor to represent the company in all instances and to promote strong relationships with clients to continue and build business.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, automotive, aerospace, or life sciences).
  • Experience with partner ecosystems and co-selling models.

This job operates in a professional remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, Regular Business hours, with some afterhours work as business needs require.

Travel:
Some travel is required for this position; up to 30% expected.
