Job Description: Nurse Practitioner for Pain Management
Position: Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant ( PA) for Interventional Pain Management
Location: Duluth and Lawrenceville area
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our pain management team. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with physician, medical assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pain management, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. We perform procedures to help with pain and minimize medications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Perform procedures such as trigger point injections and joint injections under the supervision of a physician.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies as appropriate to manage pain and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide patient education on pain management techniques, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay current on developments in pain management research, guidelines, and treatment modalities.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management preferred.
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and computer skills.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $506.17 per day
Work Location: In person
