At Christopher Equipment, we're creating a new role, Centralized Dispatch, to connect our operations across multiple locations. One that ensures the right equipment, at the right place, at the right time, every time.

Our Dispatch Coordinator will build the systems and processes that make our logistics run smoothly. This isn't just a "dispatcher" position, it's a foundational role for someone who thrives on order, loves solving complex problems, and takes pride in creating structure that others can rely on.

You'll work closely with our store managers, drivers, and inside sales teams to plan and execute efficient deliveries and pickups. You'll need to be steady under pressure, able to call audibles when plans change, and confident directing others to make things happen.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to design, implement, and refine how we move equipment across a growing company, building systems that scale as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Build and document dispatch and logistics systems that improve communication, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries, pickups, and transfers across multiple stores and routes.
  • Optimize daily routes using GPS and telematics to reduce downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Stay ahead of issues, anticipate conflicts, adjust schedules on the fly, and keep everyone informed.
  • Maintain visibility on fleet movement and equipment status using Point of Rental Dispatch and GPS tracking systems.
  • Coordinate with store managers and yard teams to align priorities and resource needs.
  • Increase truck utilization and efficiency, reducing the amount of trucks and drivers needed in our fleet to get the job done.
  • Create repeatable processes that make dispatch scalable and predictable as Christopher Equipment continues to expand.
  • Take on additional operational responsibilities as the dispatch role develops

Job Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus).
  • High school diploma / GED required; degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-store environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and digital)
  • Skills in delegating, follow-up, planning, leadership, multi-tasking, and teamwork.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software (Point of Rental Dispatch, GPS tools)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Working Conditions:

Employees are expected to work a basic 40-50 hour week Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m; may be required to work some Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
