The Product Manager for Optima Tax Relief, LLC (“Optima”) is located in the Santa Ana, California office and reports to the Chief Technology Officer. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and success of software products from inception to launch and beyond. They work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure that the product meets customer needs and business objectives. This role requires the incumbent to communicate effectively both in person and via written media and be comfortable interfacing with both the technology and marketing teams. This role must also champion Optima’s culture and Core Values and help to deliver the best customer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company’s goals.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats.
Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and wireframes.
Coordinate internal resources and across business units to achieve project execution, including identification of hardware and software necessary for project completion.
Create and maintain project documentation and detailed project plans.
Clearly and concisely communicate all aspects of a project to stakeholders.
Manage internal stakeholder relationships.
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
Monitor project progress and milestones.
Identify risks and assumptions.
Assist in planning and implementation of multiple projects at one time.
Assist with management of project tasks and deliverables.
Analyze project data as required.
Report on project progress.
Coordinate tasks and meetings as needed across stakeholders and departments.
Other duties as assigned.
In order to be provided the essential training required to be successful in this role, it is mandatory that you are present for and complete all essential/initial training onsite for up to 5 business days (unless prior management approval is provided). Please note that additional onsite training may be required depending on business need.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Project Management, Computer Science, or relevant field of study.
5 plus years of experience managing projects for technical teams.
Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,& ABILITIES
Experience in Scrum/Agile development methodology.
Demonstrable knowledge of SOX, PCI Compliance policies, and best practices.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce, and other applicable software.
Knowledge of software project life cycle.
Highly detailed and organized with the ability to easily manage multiple projects concurrently.
Broad knowledge of IT information technology, to include a range of hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Experience / Knowledge of Marketing project management a plus.
Experience working on Amazon Connect Project implementation is a plus.
Experience working on mobile application development is a plus.
Experience working on subscription model applications is a plus.
Ability to recognize and identify problems, concerns, and challenges.
