Base pay range I’m looking for a cyber security leader who is strategic without being distant, practical without cutting corners. You will own and develop the cyber security function for a large, complex organisation where security genuinely matters.
Responsibilities
Lead and deliver the organisation’s cyber security strategy, policies and governance
Work closely with IT teams, architects, service managers and suppliers to embed security by design
Manage incident response, vulnerability management, audits and compliance with standards including NCSC guidance, PSN, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials Plus and GDPR
Oversee security tooling including SIEM, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and cloud security across Microsoft 365 and Azure
Manage third-party security assurance and supplier risk
Lead and develop a small cyber security team
About you
Proven experience in a cyber security leadership role within a regulated environment or large organisation
Able to communicate clearly with both technical teams and senior leaders
Comfortable balancing hands‑on security work with strategic oversight
Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender and E5 security tooling is desirable
Relevant cyber security qualification, or working towards one
