We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax preparation, and financial software, with excellent customer service skills. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, providing financial insights, and ensuring compliance with current tax laws. Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to organize and review client information
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Support marketing efforts to attract new clients through community engagement and outreach
• Perform bookkeeping tasks and manage financial records using accounting software
• Conduct analysis of financial concepts to advise clients on best practices for their accounting needs
• Use technical accounting skills to ensure precise calculations and documentation

Requirements

• Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or corporate accounting
• Strong understanding of financial concepts, analysis skills, and math proficiency
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance standards
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
• Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks
• Background in financial sales or marketing is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated ability in bookkeeping, technical accounting, and analysis skills
• Prior experience in financial software applications is preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
