Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a comprehensive understanding of food industry standards. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and driving operational excellence across casual dining, fine dining, catering, or bar settings. A background in hospitality management and culinary experience is highly desirable to ensure seamless coordination of all restaurant functions.
Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and customer service to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, food safety protocols, and ensure proper handling of food products in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales tracking.
- Coordinate shift management to optimize staffing levels for peak hours while maintaining efficiency.
- Implement training & development programs to enhance staff skills in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Monitor budget adherence, manage costs related to food production and labor, and develop strategies for revenue growth.
- Ensure the restaurant maintains a clean, safe environment by enforcing sanitation standards and safety protocols.
- Handle customer complaints professionally to uphold excellent service standards.
- Collaborate with culinary teams on menu planning, food presentation, and special event catering including banquet services.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new team members.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry, ideally in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
- Extensive background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred.
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, staff training & development, and customer service excellence.
- Prior experience managing shifts in high-volume environments like hotels or banquet facilities is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of food industry regulations including health codes and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated leader passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences while managing all aspects of restaurant operations efficiently and effectively.
Pay: $60, $70,000.00 per year
