The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in overseeing and directing the Rhino Staging Texas office operations to ensure efficiency and profitability including the supervision of all office personnel, overseeing field employees and supervisors and maintaining working relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Operations to ensure that company objectives are established & met
  • Promote a work environment that stresses quality service and profitability for the company.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in making and executing certain hiring, promotion and termination decisions for all office personnel as appropriate.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in the review and assessment of all office personnel, including Scheduling, to ensure quality needs of our clients and the company's budget forecasts are being met.
  • Assist the Human Resources Mgr with employee relation issues.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Scheduling Dept. ensuring all calls are booked in a timely manner.
  • Address complaints and assist office personnel with problem-solving as appropriate.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all clients, including traveling to job sites and attending client meetings as needed.
  • Handle, monitor and/or directly supervise any other aspect of the function and operation of the Rhino Staging Texas office as delegated by the Director of Operations, ie payroll review / approval.
  • Handle after-hours business as necessary, including being part of the "on-call representative" rotation.
  • Accurately manage client invoicing in a timely manner.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Solid working knowledge of the entertainment industry including general practices as well as equipment and job functions of the field employees is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate by phone and in person with all levels of employees, clients and potential clients in a professional manner.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress environments & situations.
  • Ability to comprehend and enforce all company policies.
  • Google (including Gmail), Microsoft Office Suite as well as Rhino's in-house scheduling system. Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to walk and stand for extended durations
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years previous experience in a similar role, in the Entertainment Industry preferred

This is a full-time, exempt position at our office in Cypress, TX with hours to include nights, weekends and holidays (as needed, as determined by our Event Calendar).

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
