Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students, particularly focusing on preschool and special education settings. This role involves working closely with children, including those with autism, to foster their development in literacy and social skills.

Duties

• Assist in lesson planning and implementation to meet the educational needs of students.
• Support behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment.
• Work directly with students, including those with autism, to provide individualized attention and support.
• Engage in activities that promote literacy education and early childhood development.
• Provide toddler care as needed, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• Experience working with students in preschool or special education settings is preferred.
• Strong skills in lesson planning and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to educate young children effectively while fostering their love for learning.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A background or experience in literacy education is a plus.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all learners, particularly those with special needs.
