We are a new, independently owned upscale Italian restaurant opening in Little Rock, AR. Our focus is on handmade pasta, high-quality ingredients, and a refined dining experience. This is a chance to join a growing team and support the development of a world-class kitchen from day one.

Position: Sous Chef

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented sous chef who can support the head chef in leading the kitchen while cooking on the line. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and passionate about Italian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the head chef in developing and executing menus featuring handmade pastas, classic Italian dishes, and seasonal offerings
• Oversee prep, line operations, and kitchen staff as directed
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
• Manage inventory, prep schedules, and assist with ordering
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health standards
• Step in to lead during the head chef's absence

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a sous chef or line cook in upscale Italian or fine dining kitchens
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy service
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
• Team player with good communication skills
• Creativity and passion for Italian cuisine

Schedule

• Full-time
• Nights and weekends required
