X-Ray/Radiology Tech

Multispecialty Practice in Jesup, GA. is looking for an experienced X-Ray Tech/ Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will perform x-ray testing, Operate diagnostic equipment, prepare the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Skills in Medical Assisting are also required to triage patients and assist providers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

X-Ray/Radiology Tech Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
• Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Administrator or provider on duty.
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit in the EMR.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
• Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure

Clinical Medical Assistant Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Obtains vital signs and brief history from patients in an accurate and consistent manner.
• Performs patient care techniques as assigned in an effective manner under the direct supervision of provider and in accordance with the provider treatment plan.
• Maintains patient flow through the facility.
• Ensures the cleanliness and safety of patient care areas by appropriately maintaining examination rooms according to policies and procedures.
• Documents and scans patient information into practice EMR.
• Utilizes available time in a productive manner by proactively assisting nursing staff and providers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 2 years minimum experience with Xray imaging
