Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and financial report writing.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage treasury functions such as cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk assessment to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for executive review.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and cost control initiatives to enhance fiscal discipline across departments.
- Lead audits, regulatory reporting, and internal controls to ensure transparency and adherence to legal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development initiatives, revenue management strategies (including ASC 606 revenue recognition standards), and strategic planning efforts.
- Utilize advanced financial software tools for data analysis, reporting automation, and process improvements to increase efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting environments demonstrating comprehensive technical expertise.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, IAS standards, ASC 606 revenue recognition rules, GAAP principles, and regulatory frameworks governing financial reporting.
- Proven ability in risk management, risk analysis techniques, and compliance management practices.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams or cross-departmental projects.
- Proficiency in financial software applications such as ERP systems or specialized accounting tools; advanced Excel skills required.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Strategic thinker with strong budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and investment analysis capabilities.
