As Manager, Platform Pricing and Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Guidewire's platform monetization strategy. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders to develop and optimize pricing and packaging for our platform products, ensuring transparency and alignment with customer value. Job Description

What you'll do
  • Partner with product leadership to identify and prioritize platform products and features for packaging and pricing.

  • Develop and implement pricing and packaging strategies for Guidewire's platform products, simplifying choices and aligning them with customer value and revenue goals.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to craft new business models, define strategies for new offerings, and optimize monetization for existing products.

  • Design and lead qualitative and quantitative market research to test pricing and packaging hypotheses.

  • Conduct competitive market research in both direct and adjacent markets.

  • Develop recommendations and influence senior executives to gain alignment on platform pricing strategies.

  • Manage expectations and educate internal stakeholders, incorporating their feedback into strategy.

  • Support the rollout of new pricing models by working with Product Development, Business Operations, Finance, Revenue, Sales, and Marketing teams.

  • Assist with sales escalations and global negotiation frameworks outside existing pricing structures.

What you'll bring Required
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • 3+ years of platform pricing or strategy experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in a software technology company, preferably enterprise software.

  • Experience with multiple business models, including usage-based.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts simply and influence senior management decisions.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a creative, strategic approach to business problem-solving.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage cross-functional projects.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with developer-focused software products and their business models.

  • Experience with pricing and packaging tools for platforms like AWS, Azure, or other infrastructure providers.

  • Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, pricing/product strategy, or product management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $200,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
