Key Responsibilities As a CNA you will
- Assist residents with daily living skills such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist residents with mobility and transferring
- Assist residents with meals and feeding
- Provide a loving environment for residents to feel valued
- Document in residents charts daily
- Assist other aides in providing a safe and clean environment for residents and staff
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise In the class you will learn essential skills such as:
- Assisting in transporting patients in wheelchairs
- Assisting with turning and positioning
- Bathing
- Bed making
- Catheter care
- Dressing
- Infection control and safety awareness
- Keeping resident belongings neat and organized
- Measuring and recording vital signs
- Nourishment
- Range of motion exercises
- Toileting
