Material Handler PIT

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES: Responsible for safely operating a forklift to perform essential job duties. This will include but not limited to; pre-inspection checklist, reporting inspection findings, maintaining full control over forklift and ensuring proper clearance, driving at a safe speed when in blind areas or in high occupancy areas, observing and following all safety requirements while operating a forklift, and reporting any incidents right away to shift supervisor.

HOURS: Rotation Shifts

PAY RATE: Minimum $22.05 hour as a "MATERIAL HANDLER PIT" after trained and performing on your own.

THE FOLLOWING ARE POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Pit Material Handler:

• Put filled batch cans into day bin.
• Transport cullet from floor to proper bins
• Keep basement clean.
• Dump all cullet hoppers into proper bins.

In addition to the above, the following positions have additional duties: Must successfully complete all required company training and certification before progressing to the next level of proficiency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
• The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is required to lift, bend, twist, talk and hear.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Must be able to climb heights and work in confined spaces.
• The employee must lift and/or move up to and including 35 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must be able to work in both cold (0 degrees F) and hot temperatures (120 degrees F)
• The employee must be able to successfully pass the requirements to drive a motorized vehicle.
• The employee must be able to work rotating shifts.
