Guidewire QA Tester

Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test scenarios and test cases for Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter, covering policy submissions, renewals, claims, and billing workflows.
• Conduct integration testing between Guidewire applications and external systems (e.g., XactAnalysis, Xactimate, Acuity, and vendor management systems).
• Perform Web Services testing (SOAP and REST) using SOAP UI and Postman.
• Create and maintain Test Matrix and Traceability Matrix, and perform Gap Analysis to ensure test coverage.
• Utilize HP ALM/Quality Center and Rally (Agile Central) for test management and defect tracking.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, review user stories, and contribute to sprint planning and test execution reporting.
• Execute complex SQL queries for back-end validation and cross-application data verification.
• Conduct Regression Testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using tools like QTP/UFT.
• Participate in defect triage, status reporting, and productivity analysis related to claims and policy testing.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience in the P&C Insurance domain.
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
• Strong understanding of insurance product types (HO, DP, MH, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and TDD/BDD methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for database validation and Web Services testing (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with HP ALM/Quality Center, Rally, SOAP UI, and Postman.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in onsite/offshore team environments.
• Familiarity with Gosu scripting, XML, JavaScript, QTP/UFT, and TOAD.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail and quality delivery.
